Lenovo X1 Carbon – Carbon-Fiber Business Ultrabook

The Lenovo X1 Carbon ultrabook has a diagonal of 14″, is made of carbon-fiber and comes equipped with the new Intel hardware platform – Ivy Bridge. A direct descendant of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1, the new model brings a simpler design based on carbon-fiber and includes improved adaptations required by the new generation of ultrabook laptops. The total weight is only 1.36 kg.

Besides carbon, the new ThinkPad uses magnesium materials, and its maximum thickness is 18 mm, being one of the thinnest 14″ ultrabooks released to date.

Acer introduced to the public the world’s thinnest ultrabook. The company launched at CES 2012 the new Aspire ultrabook called the S5. With a maximum thickness of 15 mm, the device is currently the thinnest ultrabook. But this is not the only aspect that impresses.

Acer is proud that the Aspire S5 comes out of standby mode in just 1.5 seconds. It can do this using Acer Instant On technology. The company states that users can get out of the sleep mode using their smartphones.

The new device also features Acer Aspire Always Connect, a service that updates the mail box and messages received through various social networks while the device is in standby mode – a feature not to neglect.

Fujitsu Launches New Models Based on Ivy Bridge in Its LifeBook Range

Fujitsu has launched many new laptops in their LifeBook range. Besides the LifeBook LH772 and LH532 which were presented a few days ago, now the company launched the first laptop featuring air purification system.

Fujitsu began on 9th of May to announce their new range of laptops. It began with two 14-inch models, the LifeBook LH532 and the LH772, which were officially launched yesterday. Company returns with more information about its new models, equipped with the new Ivy Bridge technology from Intel.

LifeBook UH75UH is a 14-inch laptop and has a 15.6mm thick at its thinnest point (being presented as the thinnest laptop in the world) and a weight of 1.44 Kg. The LifeBook UH55UH on the other hand comes with a 13.3 inch display – both models are available in red or silver.

Toshiba thrive 7 tablet

7-inch Toshiba Thrive – Official Details

Toshiba launches new series Thrive tablets with a display diagonal of 7-inches. There is no news regarding hardware details or software. Toshiba Thrive runs Android 3.2 HoneyComb and is driven by Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset technology with dual-core CPU at 1 GHz.

The screen resolution is 1280×720 pixels, relying on Backlit LED technology. Storage capacity of this tablet is 16 or 32 GB.
