Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime
In the same time with NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 launch the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime was also announced. We already know that this platform offers quad-core processing. The tablet will have a 10.1-inch diagonal and can be used, just as the first Asus Transformer, both with and without the keyboard.
NVIDIA Tegra 3 is equipped with an tremendous processing power. It has four cores clocked at 1.3 GHz and 1 GB RAM. When the tablet needs only one core it will run at 1.4 GHz. This Transformer is based on Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, until December, when there will be an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The 10.1 inch display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, which is enough for most applications and games. Moreover, the device benefits of SuperIPS + technology which makes the screen much brighter and easier to read. On the front there is a 1.2 megapixel camera and a rear 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and shooting resolution of 1080p HD. Sound quality is very clear because the tablet has SonicMaster audio technology.
It will weigh 586 grams, or 1.1 Kg with the keyboard. The keyboard is actually a battery dock. Along with the keyboard attachment service life can increase from 8 to 12 hours, which is an impressive autonomy. The docking station comes with a USB port and SD card reader.
Obviously, there is Bluetooth, Wi-Fi N, HDMI port and all kinds of sensors: light, G, gyroscope and compass. More interestingly, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime will have GPS.
